What is Montessori?

Montessori Education is an educational approach and philosophy, based on the theories and work of Dr. Maria Montessori, (August 31, 1870 – May 6, 1952).  Her work is now proven by current scientific and medical research into the importance of early childhood education and experiences on the developing brains of young children.  In a Montessori classroom, children are guided by highly-trained teachers to learn through a multi-sensory approach.  Each child’s educational experience is individualized and unique.
